MY TESTIMONY I have been in church all my life…born again at age 12…but for the first 50 years of my life I was held captive…a prisoner to satan’s lies and deceptions…
Born again, yes; a new creature in Christ, yes; serving him with everything within me….held numerous positions in the church…memorized countless Bible verses…no one ever wanted to live the Christian life and please God any more than me… No one tried harder to do everything possible to make my Father happy, but in being eaten up with self-effort and determination, I could not understand the scripture that said, “Without Christ I can do nothing.”
I have found that in letting Him set me free with His truth, life can be lived to the full and enjoyed as He planned for us. My hope is that you too can find this freedom as you allow Him to set you free with His truth. My healing is an ongoing process as is everyone’s. It is my desire to let Him remove every lie and heal all wounds that hinder my heart from trusting completely in Him. My favorite verses taken from Isaiah 61 are the scriptures I base my service on. “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has appointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to announce that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. 2 He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. 3 To all who mourn in Israel, He will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, and praise instead of despair. For the Lord has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for His own glory.” NLB
PRACTICAL I have been actively serving as a prayer minister for several years working with clients from Southeastern Virginia. I have been the leading Intercessory Prayer Ministry at Greensprings Chapel for several years and co-leading this ministry with my husband Terry for the past few years.
I attended Judson College in Marion, AL and University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL with a major field of study in communications. I am a graduate of and have served as facilitator of Elijah House Training for Prayer Ministry and have completed basic and advanced training for Theophostic Ministry. I have attended numerous seminars by others in the healing field by groups such as Restoration in Christ Ministries, Paul Cox Generational Deliverance and Spiritual Discernment, Clay & Mary McLean Ministries, Desert Stream Ministries, Catch the Fire Ministries, Prophetic Seminars, and many others.
I have taught in private school and successfully home-schooled my three children. Terry and I are both are active participants in the local community, serving on our HOA board and in other capacities. We have been involved with teaching at Redemption Ministries Training School for Emotional Healing and in the local church.
Together we have five wonderful children. We also are the proud grandparents of six fantastic grandchildren. I love my role as wife, mother, and grandmother.
